Cody is the oldest of four siblings and enjoys an active and intellectually curious lifestyle. His hobbies include hiking National Parks with their spouse, fixed-gear bike riding, weight lifting, learning guitar, and reading books beyond medical textbooks. Upon completing residency, he plans to fulfill a four-year active duty obligation to the U.S. Navy as an EM-specialized Operational Medical Officer. A passionate reader, Cody deeply appreciates literature across various genres. His favorite books include East of Eden by John Steinbeck (Historical Fiction), The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (Fantasy), On Call In Hell by CDR Richard Jadick (Medical Memoir), The Hero With a Thousand Faces by Joseph Campbell (Comparative Religion), and The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt (Popular Science).
